Flowers Creamery is truly a remarkable farm to store operation. On this farm they grow the crops that feed the cows, which produce the milk that makes the cheese to put in their cute little store.
This is a sustainably-operated family-farm, & Grade A Dairy with a herd of Holsteins and a herd of Jerseys. Some of the milk production is used to make small-batch Artisan cheeses, which they make available, along with other products, in a cute outlet store right on the farm. They offer milk (try the chocolate), cheeses, ice creams and seasonal goods made on their farm or one nearby. Other goods may include meats, candles, soaps & other “General Store” type products. Some of these products are seasonal, so they have different things at different times of the year.
Flowers Creamery also offers Farm Tours for a small charge on Wednesdays or by appointment. They will explain their animal husbandry & explain their daily process but the actual dairy & cheese making can only be seen through windows to maintain a sterile environment.
